I always wanted to eventually implement expansion chips, so... we'll see. ____________________ blargSNES -- SNES emu for 3DS More cool stuff |

That's fine You've already put forth an incredible SNES emu as it is so I would say you deserve a break. |

Does this work with hacked snes games? I have tried playing super mario world hacks and it just seems to freeze the emu or the game does not play. I could play chrono trigger. |

Posted by kellykel Many games still won't run because of a possible sync issue, including hacks. BTW, has anyone tried blargSNES with Ninjhax v2.0 on an n3DS? Supposedly, other apps and emulators are getting a speed boost through it, up to 2.5x like GameYob is. I run an o3DS, and from the look of it, it doesn't help there. It may just be CPU improvement, so software rendering may only be affected. |

Either better dynarecing abilities, or threading working better because the N3DS has more cores. blargSNES doesn't really use either.
Dunno about hacks, but if they're meant to run on ZSNES, they're probably too broken for blargSNES. ____________________ blargSNES -- SNES emu for 3DS More cool stuff |

Posted by StapleButter I'd imagine threading is better, since Ninjhax 2.0 is not capable of dynarec (yet?), insomuch that something like CitrAGB on n3DS actually runs better under NH v2.0 with interpreter mode than it does on v1.1b with dynarec (from what people are saying, not from self-experience). |

Posted by Discostew I'm on a n3DS- if you throw out some names of games that run fairly consistently, but not quite at 60fps, I could tell you if they run better. Best way I can think to test without an actual FPS counter, since it's pretty subjective otherwise. |

Posted by Discostew Blargsnes runs nicely in ninjhax 2.0, on my n3ds. It is faster, too. Fullspeed is much more consistant. ____________________ ~ I like to read people's bullshit, always funny. It seemed to run about the same in Ninjhax 2.0 to me, but.. .all I really check are the Fire Emblem games, which already ran pretty smoothly (aside from graphical issues that the new Ninjhax wouldn't fix anyway). |

tried 1.2 on O3ds and 1.3 on N3ds, Ninjhax 2.0.
N3ds is faster, but maybe it's just the difference between 1.2 and 1.3. I'll try to compare both on 1.3. I've used a lot snes emu on psp and this one (Blarg) is better, at least for compatible games. I hope you won't leave the project as i repeat, compatible games run really well. |

Posted by Kikirini Posted by kakarotto The real advantage of running on the New 3DS is the fact that it runs full speed with the software renderer. Meaning graphical glitches go away like Donkey Kong's broken sky. |

From what I've been hearing lately, the n3DS's CPU upgrade is the kind of upgrade the DSi got. Double the clock frequency, so apps that recognize it will utilize it. It was initially believed that they threw in a quad-core instead of a dual-core like the 3DS, and that may be correct still, but in any case, Ninjhax 2.0 is unlocking the full CPU core on the n3DS, making homebrew run far better than before, especially with single-threading.
So in turn, I'd imagine that blargSNES does run much better, at least in software mode. I can't really prove it because I don't have an n3DS to test with. Because I'm limited to an o3DS, I've simply been trying to find different ways of improving upon what's been established, since plenty others just have an o3DS as well. |

Posted by Jim_e Of course, but the software renderer hasn't been worked on for quite some time, so while it does things correctly that the hardware renderer does not, the hardware renderer has things implemented that the software renderer does not. |

Hey guys, I have a 3ds XL 9.9.0-26U
I just used NINJHAX 2.0 today and I've been experiencing a different compatibility with my games, I wonder if there is anything I could double check before I just assume its because I'm on the most recent firmware. I also experience a sound issue, where every game has this distorted sound to it. I saw videos on youtube and playing Super Metroid, I have this sound issue while I haven't seen these issues with people showing off the emulator. the games are in .sfc filetype. Thanks and good work so far! Shit is awesome! |

Perhaps Wireless Link should be incorporated for multiplayer playback.
However on game screen (as the normal 3DS is quite small screen) it would be a bit annoying seeing both screens. Also, what's the compatibility? By that question, I mean does it only support US ROMs, or does it support all regions? |

Posted by Termingamer2-JD Multiplayer is unlikely to happen, if anytime soon. It's just not a priority. Compatibility is not limited by region, but just because a game in one region works doesn't necessarily mean the same game from another will. |

I see. Multiplayer is just an addition to maybe make the emulator even better and fun, but then again, how many people will own this? |
