I suppose there is no list of games that currently won't work is there? welp I look forward to further improvements and such, also anyone manage to play IPS Super Mario World hack files?

Well, i just started with a file that gathers currently working games.

I'm still on 1.2 because I'm pretty sure the WikiTemp compatibility list said that A Link to the Past crashed on 1.3 when trying to load saved games. Can someone confirm or deny that for me? |

Having a problem with a number of 1.2 and 1.3 builds. Complete black screen on launch, requiring a hard shutdown of the console. If I delete blargsnes.ini, I get a proper launch, but only ONCE. Once it saves its settings in the .ini, it will blackscreen every launch until the .ini is deleted again.
This is the content of the .ini file: HardwareRenderer=1 ScaleMode=1 DirPath=/SNES/ I noticed that the lines all appeared on a single row in notepad so I re-wrote them by hand and never had an issue after, so perhaps it is an issue with the line termination character? (char 10 vs char 13) Windows terminates lines with ASCII 13 then 10 and blargSNES seems happy with it. Also added one last new line after the config, not sure if it helped, but it's working like this. An easy way to check is by file size, 46 bytes for the broken one the emulator itself creates versus 49 bytes the one being made by handwriting it. Also the .ini must be made read-only or the emulator eventually overwrites it. The re-start remembers the fullscreen stretched mode but not the SNES folder so my guess is it is the ROM folder location that is being badly read. |

Posted by Electric I tested it myself, and it worked until I tried to load a save file. After asking where to start from, I got a black screen. |

Posted by ChrisHighwind Yeah, I can't continue my games either. I don't know how @Electric's list is working as such, because ALTTP doesn't work for me at all. I can pick a file to continue my progress but it just dies after that. And if you start a new game, it will play the rain sound but that's it. @Electric You should perhaps revisit your entire list and actually play them for a few minutes to ensure that they don't just die, because sure they can boot but can they actually run? Additionally, take care to ensure that different regions get checked too, because some versions of games from certain regions may work while others don't. |

You may be unaware about copyright laws and why distributing ROMs is illegal, but the rules in the FAQ clearly state that posting ROM links isn't allowed. That's all. Was playing Chrono Trigger, it was running flawlessly up to the point where you have a courtroom trial. When you get knocked out at the end and the screen fades to black, that's it. The game doesn't display anything after that. Same thing happens with FF3 USA rom: Black screen when sleeping, nothing displays after that. I can still access blargSNES menus, and everything.
@StapleButter can anything be done about this? |

Posted by Electric You may have been trying to help, but when it explicitly says in the ToS that you cannot do that (a link to the ToS is on the registration screen, which people agree to when they register), by doing it anyways, you either didn't read, or purposefully wanted to break it. You don't seem like the kind of guy to do it purposefully. |

If you start blargSNES and close the screen, after a while blargSNES does not respond anymore. You need to do a hard reset because the 3DS won't respond to anything.
Is this a known issue? |
