Posted by Syphurith I would like to know about the firmware version part, not the title version. But that is a good post none the less. |

Posted by hartie95 Somehow making the firmware ether change the required firm version or ignore it, so that some newer titles that die when launching would launch just fine. |

Posted by Syphurith Ok, so basically I would just need to change the kernel version or change the needed one on load. That *should* be fun, eh? |

How does the 3DS handle APT_PrepareToDoAppJump and APT_DoAppJump? What happens when both of these are called? I have managed to launch apps with these service calls, but I would like to mess with the launched app; so an understatnding of how these work under the hood is in order.
The more technical the better. |

Any more info?
To be more specific is there a way to get access to the game card SPI without the save system in the way? IE raw buffers for the SPI. |

Posted by profi200 Is the hardware really the same though? I know it changed from DS to DSi and I don't want to use compatibility modes. |

Posted by nocash You could use dd and parted to make a formatted disk image from scratch. |

Posted by nocash I *might* be able to make a stack that makes a directory act like a FAT partition. |
